Female mentors needed for Older Girl Initiative

  • 18-29 Year-old Mentor/advisor - Held develop and attend monthly "Totally Tuesdays" meetings.

  • Program resource - Few hours a week for 2-4 weeks working with a

specific topic for girls

  • Special Event Coordinator - Mentor girls during in-depth weekend setting

  SERVICE UNIT TEAM MEMBERS - We are in DIRE need of caring adults who are willing to spend a few hours a month working with the Service Unit Team, planning monthly or quarterly meetings with Membership Staff, and helping get leaders' questions answered.  This position can be shared and you do not need to be a leader.  Full training is provided and excellent support is at your disposal.  You must be currently or willing to become a registered member of GSTTC.

Program Volunteers are needed  to help plan and/or run the following events:

  • International Fair 2008

  • Junior Jamboree 2008

  • Daisy Day  2008

  • Brownie Daycamp 2008

  • Junior Daycamp 2008

  • Many others, just call Amy

The “Places to Visit” booklet is in  need of updating and we need your help. We need volunteers to contact locations currently listed in our "Places to Visit" booklet and update the information.  Also, if you know of businesses, locations where Girl Scouts can tour and visit please let us know.  We would like to have this information available for all to use. 

 

 

Historians/Archivists - We have decades of photos, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia which needs organized and cataloged.  Anyone with an interest in Scrap-booking, organizing, scanning photos into the computer or just interested in preserving the history of Girl Scouts in our Council is invited to help.  Contact Amy.

 

 

Librarians - We are in the final stages of our Leader Resource area in our Service Center.  We need individuals willing to help organize, catalog, maintain and construct a check-out system for our books, videos, music and materials which are available for use by volunteers. If interested, please contact Amy.

 

Service Center Volunteer:

If you have some free time during the hours of 8:30AM to 5:30 PM  (Tues-Fri) the Service Center has some opportunities for you to volunteer. There is a need for computer input, organizing the library, evaluate and re-assemble first aid kits, organize items available for Troop checkout and much more. Your help with as much or as little as you are able is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in becoming a trainer or know of someone else who is interested, contact your Membership Manager or Amy for more information.

Attention Program Aides:  If You would like to help with Summer programs, please register with Amy to be sure to get your pick of hours and activities.  

 

Flag Ceremonies: The Service Center would like to start a list of troops who would like to perform Flag Ceremonies. If your troop is interested please contact the Service Center.
